Looking For A Sponsor For Book/Video Project Marketed to Parents of Autistic Children
51Author Collaborates with Global Effort For Untapped Market
Autism is soaring in this country, and most likely, you know or have heard of someone affected by an autistic spectrum disorder. Parents of these children face difficult, often misunderstood, daily struggles with their children. Some have voiced concerns that the reading material on the market for autism explains the disorder, but little, if anything, is available to help parents with behaviors, activities, and coping strategies.
I am currently working with an author and publisher in the UK, a music producer in the US, and another US author, with the hopes of putting together a one-of-a-kind package for parents of autistic children. We need funding, in order for our idea to take ground and become a success.
The children's book series, geared toward eight to ten-year-olds, is in the works, and it is imaginative and engaging. The music producer is available to create a virtual CD packet with a voice-over for those who cannot read or as an e-book for those who can. Appropriate music will be composed, by a platinum recording artist, to accompany the story. Finally, a booklet approved by a national autism awareness group, will be included as an outstanding resource for parents.
We hope to market this book as any other retail product, while helping parents and children affected by autism. If you know of any sources interested in sponsoring this project, please contact donna@aflairforwriting.com. We are open to any ideas and suggestions.
